Joanne Yang
Joanne Yang, MPH, Research Data Analyst, has been a part of the School Health Evaluation and Research Team since May 2022. Her primary research interests focus on socio-behavioral determinants of adolescent development and chronic disease, particularly in the school environment. She utilizes quantitative and qualitative methods to collect, analyze and visualize data. Joanne currently supports the School Health Research and Evaluation Team's statewide evaluation of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funding to support Homeless Children and Youth during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, and ongoing evaluations of Alameda County school based health centers. Joanne received her BA in Public Health and MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from UC Berkeley. Her goal is to use her data science & epidemiology knowledge to support research that will be used to fund programs and policies improving adolescent health.
